About

Guy Harries

I’m an integrative therapist and a registered member of the BACP. I work with individuals and couples, offering a warm, grounded space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I believe therapy works best when you feel free to be yourself, and all parts of you can be met with curiosity and care.

I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic and relational approaches, shaped around what you need at any given moment. I’ve supported people through anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, bereavement, trauma, low self-esteem and major life transitions.

Much of my work is affirmative work with LGBTQ+ clients, including couples, holding the particular questions of identity, belonging and self-acceptance that can come with it. Feeling understood for who you are, rather than who you think you should be, is at the heart of how I work. I also work with neurodivergent adults navigating much the same ground.

For over twenty years I’ve worked as a musician and artist, on stage and in the community, alongside my therapy practice. I understand creative life from the inside: the pressure to perform, and the question of who you are when the work isn’t going well. Many of the people I see are creatives and performers, and I’m attentive to the subtleties of expression, especially when words feel complicated or not quite enough.

You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support. Whatever brings you to therapy, we can explore it together gently and at a pace that feels right for you.
