About

Jessie Macdonald

I believe that you are the ultimate expert in your life. Because of this, I don’t arrive with a set of pre-packaged answers or a drive to ‘fix’ you. Instead, my role is to be alongside you as we navigate the complexities of being human.

My approach is rooted in existential psychotherapy which essentially means that I am interested in your lived experience and the unique ways you navigate and make sense of the world. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals through anxiety, bereavement and the major transitions in life that can leave to us feeling untethered.

However, I believe that anyone and everyone can benefit from therapy- sometimes we simply need a space to be heard and feel seen.

The heart of our work is in the relationship we build together. I offer a steady, compassionate and trauma-informed space that is sex positive and LGBTQIA+ inclusive where you can show up exactly as you are.

We will work at your pace in our sessions to explore how your lived experience impacts who you are today (including anything that might feel overwhelming or difficult to process), helping you move towards a way of living that feels authentic to you.

I am a registered trainee psychotherapist with the UKCP and am currently completing an MA
at Regents University, London.
